Recently I’ve been reading here or there, that in 90s, IDM guys like Oval and Autechre, used to sample scratched or painted CDs. So i decided to recreate this effect as Ableton Live device.

You can find everything for your art project on the streets of Prenzlauer Berg (district of Berlin).

This is what a damaged CD signal looks like.

I’ve decided to recreate this effect with by randomizing parameters of EQ8, Redux and Utility.
